Don't worry, I am not going on hiatus until 2022. I have made a decision to halt production of IBWHIP in 2022 after the Prologue is finished on Patreon with version 0.9.0 in December. I have made this decision because it is obvious that I need more experience with writing if this project is ever going to have a chance at being received in a mostly positive manner.
At the start of 2022, I will be trying to focus on become a better writer for at least 6 months and then I'll make another decision at that point with how to proceed from there.
There will most likely a few minor updates to the public version to fix typos and bugs along with anything cool I want to experiment with before I make that mid-year decision. (An example of something cool I think I might soon be able to do is replace the iPhone conversations with something via NVL Mode. Or maybe I just want to become better at Layered Images) I might have a smaller project here or there to experiment with things further. I might make version 0.9.0 public during that time or I might not. WHO THE FORK KNOWS!
The 2022 Hiatus shouldn't interfere with my plans for the rest of 2021 in terms of 0.7.0-0.9.0; however, my new job hasn't been giving me as many days-off as I had expected. It's been making it hard to motivate myself to work on this project more but at least it isn't nearly as bad as this past summer. I wanted to add more changes in this build but I just couldn't find motivation most days. BUT BEAT GOES ON!
Before I released 0.6.0, I had about 80% of the script ready for 0.7.0 but I was having a lot of writing block with one scene but I am all ready to start programming the actual Build 7 for Patreon on 10/17. If I have to delay the Patreon Build, I will tell you all like I always do. I would say that there is about a 50/50 chance at this point. The script for Build 8 was also mostly complete before 0.6.0 but it is way longer than Build 7 so that has an even greater chance of being delayed. Build 9, I have nothing written down and that is build is going to be giant. I might actually have to split it into two separate builds but that's a problem for Future Unagi, not Present Unagi. I'll keep y'all updated.
