Playtest Release 0.1.2

Playtest 0.1.2 is now available!

Some small usability improvements and tweaks - mostly focused around the silkworm.

Known Issues

Due to a well-documented side-effect of OpenGL's lazy shader compilation, there will be some initial lag when new materials spawn for the first time. This can include:

  • Sliding for the first time (ground particles)
  • Silkworm projectile spawns for the first time
  • Shooting for the first time
  • Spawning plants for the first time (including grappling)

Unfortunately, there is no "fix" for this - except some nasty workarounds which I will have to look into until Godot 4.0 comes out.

Changelog

  • Silkworm: Added ragdoll physics after death for a bit of flavor
  • Silkworm: Reduced range from 22m to 17m
  • Silkworm: Now dies from 1 shot if shot in the head
  • Silkworm: Hurtboxes magnified to be easier to shoot
  • Fix an issue with the enemy health UI that caused it to disappear at random
  • Nerfed the mantle/vault mechanic as it was much too forgiving
  • Level timer now only starts once you begin moving
