The book "Hamlet Hit Points" was interesting because they talked about roleplay and how it became popular and why it is so popular. It described how roleplay takes inspiration from Shakespeare and real world scenarios to make it work. You also need a lot of player engagement to make it feel more welcoming. It also has a conflict which is based around your whole gaming experience.
