In these trying times, I'm sure many have longed for the simpler times of childhood. Although we may remember those times through rose-tinted 3D specs, there seemed to be a curiosity and wonder to the world which is lacking now. Or is that just the talk of a jaded adult...?
Inspired by the childhoods of the 1980s and early 1990s, of the wonder, adventure and dread of children's games and the early days of home computing, I decided to make a new adventure, with tinges of horror. Mixing elements of Earthbound, Lisa, Night in the Woods, Stranger Things and the glorified 20-minute long cartoon-toy-adverts of past days, Through the Kill Screen is a tribute to whimsical adventure and imagination.
Currently, in its early stages, I have released a demo, a small introduction to the world and the storyline. Hope you enjoy it! Any suggestions are welcome.
