Hello, adventurers who just so happen to be highschool freshmen! A new update has been released. Not a big one, just fixes a few bugs. As always, if there are any more game breaking bugs, you can report them by commenting on the game's page or by emailing me at "srgbutdev@gmail.com"!
V1.6.0 might just be around the corner! There is no official release date yet, but I really want to aim for releasing it on December 25th of this year. Trust me though, it'll be worth the wait! All I will say is that this update will contain the entirety of Chapter 1 (That's right, the entire 1st chapter, that means everything from the very beginning, to where you finally defeat "Dark Shane" and more!), this update will also include a few changes to gameplay mechanics!
After V1.6.0 is released, I'm going to have to make a few drastic changes. Sadly, i'm going to have to abandon the original, "batch" version of the game, and recreate it using a different game engine. The reason for this is because the game right now, is only able to run on Windows. My vision is that I want this game to be featured on every operating system (And by that I mean Windows, Linux, Mac, etc), video game consoles, and maybe even mobile devices! The only way to do that is to recreate the game from the ground up. There are a few possible ways I can do this. First is to recreate the game entirely. Second is to recreate the batch language in another engine, while also including extra UI elements that can smoothly translate from a text-based command line game to a regular text-based game. I decided to go with the second one. Well, kind of... I decided to create my own simple interpreted language called "Brina", which is really similar to batch. It'll run on the Unity game engine so I can include all sorts of visual and audio stuff that I couldn't in the original version. So yeah... I can only hope it ends up going well... Wish me luck! Or not, if you don't want to...
