Big Content Update #1
Overworld
- Added a number of new areas
- Added second dungeon entrance
- Added rewards hidden in some of those areas
- Added major hidden upgrade
- Entrances to non-dungeons now are shuffled
Dungeons
- Added the Snake Temple
- Snake Temple has a temporary boss, to be replaced later
- Dungeon entrance shuffle is now enabled
- Added new sound effects and other "juice" to make dungeons more interesting
Items
- Added the usable item wheel
- The item wheel is cycled through with the Q/E keys, assuming you have multiple items
- Added Bombs
- Added Potion of Healing
- Added obtainable maps
- Added Level 2 Sword (increases damage by 1, changes sword appearance)
Monsters
- Hunt Snake damage reduced from 2 to 1
Other
- Changed the hotkeys for switching enemy player targets in order to better support the item wheel. They are now T and R by default
- The first and second Overworld phases now last 180 seconds
- The first and second Dungeon Approach phases now last 75 seconds
- The first Dungeon phase now lasts 120 seconds
- The second Dungeon phase now lasts 360 seconds
- Added bombable walls
- Royale (red ghost) monsters not killed by the player will be randomly shuffled back into the attack queue. This prevents cheesey queue draining before entering dungeons
Engine
- Added server-side support for all randomly generated item and dungeon entrance shuffling, along with spoiler logs on the server to better verify the path through the game generated
- The server now controls all random components
- Added the ability to hide rooms from the map
- Added support for push-able blocks and other switches unlocking dungeon doors
- Added support for arrows and bats (along with anything also "flying") to traverse terrain like water
- Dungeons and shops now automatically build their connections during the entrance shuffle phase of the randomizer
Bug Fixes
- Royale spawners (for red ghost enemies) will no longer "jam" under certain conditions
- Water will now show up properly on the royale cams
- Treasure chest randomizer is now actually random
Known Issues
- Control mapping not yet supported
- Controllers not yet supported
- Hood Fang enemies can occasionally fire bullets that don't move
- It's possible to clip walls slightly and have your movement interrupted in some cases
- Clearing a room that has a secret item with the condition "kill all enemies" will spawn the item if Royale (red ghost) monsters remain when the player exits the room
- The door does not trigger screen shake when it slams in Snake Temple
- If all players survive the Snake Temple, everyone will be murdered for failing to make it to the Sudden Death dungeon
