#updates #patch notes
Hey all! The September update for Pivotal is here, with a plethora of changes to expand the game for all users! With three new levels and lots of new features, there’s something for everyone here. Enjoy!
Balancing games can be a bit tough, and Pivotal is definitely no exception. I have to ensure that levels are where I want them to be in terms of challenge as well as fun, but even then, there will be some users that are unable to play due to other factors. In order to encourage everyone to try Pivotal (and be able to succeed), I’ve added a few accessibility settings to the game, accessible right from the main menu.
In addition, I’ve made a few key changes in other places in order to ensure accessibility throughout the game:
After listening to a lot of feedback, I’ve gone ahead and tweaked the physics to be more fair. Especially, the rotations seemed to be too fast, so I’ve slowed them down again.
Three new levels to try. Adjustments to every level to make them slightly better. Check it out!
Turning Peaks got a fresh coat of paint. Plus, it’s raining now! // insert turning peaks picture here
Gimbal Locks also got a new coat of paint (though, this one is slight).
Terminal Velocity now has a lot more color in the stars!
Turn It Back is a new level that is inspired by retro games, right down to the 4:3 aspect ratio! It’s also quite challenging and it’s a bit reactive.
Tick tock! Clock Work is a level that has a lot of rotating parts. Time your turns just right!

That’s all for this update! Please let me know what you think. Thanks for playing Pivotal!
