Prior to this change, every time there would be an update, you would have to delete the previous game files and download the new ones, then extract the files, and finally run the game. This is a tedious task sometimes, but with the new butler change it will make updating the game easier. Using the itch.io app, you can press "Update" whenever there is an update and will do the tedious task automatically, as well as launch the game for you.
However, because of butler, both the client and the server have to be inside one folder, so when you install or update the game, it will ask you if you want to run the client (used to play and connect to server) or the server (Used to host a server for people to connect using the client). In almost all cases, you want the client (You will probably want to download the server from the website rather than the launcher).
I will also be using butler in my other games in the future (Games that will most likely have more than a few updates) to make the updating process simpler and easier.
