#New Release
Today I've released Spectrum, my second Amiga game from 1991.
A very simple game, partly inspired by the boss levels in Eagle Empire on the C64, and by a Dragon 32 game called Subrun, as well as breakout. A wall is lowering and you must blast through it. You have a puny cannon to shoot a hole through it, at which point you can push up to rocket through the gap. In retrospect I could have added a lot more to this concept; more weapons, fancy physics. This used the 'copper' to create a gradient sky and was the second of my two games which used an external music player, by my 3rd game Liberator, I had some tracker player code.
I've supplied the game in the original ADF file, and a more complex RP9 file for second generator emulators.
Enjoy playing.
