0.06 Changelog (8/22/21)
-Loper now takes two hits to kill, rather than always dying in one hit. The universal feedback I received was that this game was too hard, and I hope this change will address this issue. Loper can be healed by touching save points or the new bandage collectables.
-Reworked the keyboard controls with comfortable options for both keyboard-and-mouse and keyboard-only setups.
-Added the Young Loper skin as a preview of the upcoming Prologue level. This demonstrates that Loper can now have multiple animation blueprints to allow for more unique skins.
-A new skin ("Lolfo") has been added just for fun. It's unlocked from the start for right now. Eventually, I'll add a shop system for buying skins.
-Reaching the Stalacite cave in the starting area now requires you to long jump or charge jump across a chasm, which hopefully will prevent new players from wandering into this difficult area before they've gotten accustomed to Loper's controls.
-All level geometry textures have been upscaled without noise reduction to 64x64 rather than 32x32. This allows them to keep the grainy, grimy feel I was going for but without being quite so low resolution.
-Drop shadows have been added to the Red Jellyfish to help with depth perception.
-Fixed a bug where the tiptoe music wouldn't play upon first spawning into the level.
-Fixed the "ah" of the line "ah, Loper" being cut off at the start of the cutscene.
-Fixed a problem where Loper would rotate way too far when standing on ledges.
-Edited some level geometry so that the Gesty up on the stone slab in the starting island area can be reached faster with some well-timed jumps.
-Disabled anti-aliasing in the engine settings because Marcis, the creator of the PSXFX plugin I use for the game's material shader, told me that the anti-aliasing plus vertex warble shader effect was causing ghosting.
-Fixed an issue when picking up a Winged Gesty immediately after setting it down
-Fixed an issue where Loper could normal jump back up onto the ledge from the Stalacite's cave by clipping through the fence. It's supposed to require a high jump.
-Fixed an issue where Loper could still swim while drowning
-Fixed an issue where Leap's corpse didn't always despawn when he revived
