In this update I've optimized the particles so that now the game should run much smoother once you get to rooms with lots of enemies.
If you liked the way particles looked previously, you can change them back to the old particles in the settings by switching "optimize particles" to off. However keep in mind that using the unoptimized particles may cause performance issues.
Particles shouldn't need to be optimized in the downloadable version, so the optimized particles are turned off by default in the Windows version.
This should hopefully be the last thing I need to fix before moving onto a new game.
