Pawsecuted Prototype - Available Now

Pawsecuted
A downloadable game for Windows

The idea for Pawsecuted came from my own experience adopting pet rabbits in Australia. In the land down under, there is a major wild rabbit problem so the authorities are regularly releasing poison/viruses to control the population. In a sense, the rabbits are being 'Persecuted' and thus the punny name for the game.

The prototype is basically the opening tutorial, where you're introduced to the game mechanics through journal entries and interaction with the world.

You move from one hex to another in what will eventually be a huge, open procedurally generated world. Depending on the terrain, each location contains different Sites that you can scavenge for materials, food, and so on.

For example, on a desolate plains hex you might find only a decaying corpse. By contrast, in a ruined town hex you could find half a dozen buildings each with their own vaults, offices and secret stashes.

As you move around, encounters will spawn that you can either avoid or approach. Some encounters will trigger questlines while others will be straight up combat.

The prototype is made completely of placeholder graphics. I'm putting it out there to see if there's any interest in this type of game, or whether I've completely lost my mind from all this social distancing and isolation.

So if you're into survival management games with RPG/roguelite elements, please give Pawsecuted a try and let me know what you think!
