Act 2 Released!

Act 2 of The Remainder is officially released

Greetings weary traveler, I hope this message finds you in high spirit and good health.

We're thrilled, and a bit terrified, to share with you Act 2 of The Remainder.

There'll be new mysterious characters to be baffled by,  dozens of story routes to get lost in, deeper secrets to unravel, and 88k words to immerse yourself with. 

Act 1 and 2 are now one continuous story, it's recommended that you start from the beginning to experience the story as intended, and to avoid bugs with saving and gameplay.

$20 Early Access / Full Game Price

Act 1 + 2 will be priced at $20, the price of the full game when complete. If you buy the game at $20 now, you will be directly supporting our development with your wallet as well as your vote of confidence, which matters a great deal to indie devs like us. 

Itch does not allow cumulatively payments, so if you've already paid for The Remainder, you need to pay another $20 to get access to Act 1 + 2 immediately, and the full game when it's ready. Simply send an email to squareweaselstudio@gmail.com with your payment info and we can send you a refund for the amount over 20. This is not elegant but it's the best we can do for now.

When you buy the full-priced game now you'll also get the OST and Fan Pack which have bonus content like the Art and Lore book and Story and Tea with Ilar. When the full game is released, however, $20 will only buy the game, and the OST and Fan Pack will need to be bought separately. This is our way of thanking all our early supporters.
