Patch 1.3.2 Released & Update 1.4 Announced!
I'm happy to announce that the next major update for Shrek's Day Out will release this autumn. Adding a whole new level, with many more obstacles, and plenty of new features and improvements! More details on that soon. But first, patch 1.3.2 is here, containing a bunch of fixes and minor improvements before the bigger update arrives.
Patch Notes:
- Added level timer, which can be seen upon completion of each level.
- Added new sound effect for collecting golden onions.
- Game progress is now saved upon completion of a level.
- Added continue option to the main menu.
- Major improvements to game code, particularly the menus and scoring.
- Improvements to existing music and SFX.
- Improvements to the collision meshes of platforms in Level 1.
- Improvements to the Shrek sprite for Level 1.
- Minor tweaks to level 2.
- Minor UI tweaks and improvements.
- Fixed erratic Shrek movement when colliding with another object.
- Fixed platforms and other objects having differing movement speeds dependant on the player's frame rate.
- Fixed incorrect score being shown at the end of level 2.
- Fixed some issues with pausing and continuing the game.
- Fixed an issue regarding the difficulty setting on first launch.
- Lots of groundwork for the upcoming update.
