The current downloadable version is labelled "alpha". This because a few parts are not yet fully complete, and some tests on some departments are still really needed. This alpha version will only be spread through itch, for several reasons. Some of which I'd rather keep to myself, but one of them is Butler being the easiest way to go when daily updates can still be a thing. I did place the project "on hold" for approximately 2 weeks, and this was because when you've been working on a project for months, you'll eventually get to hate it with passion. Now this game was the quickest RPG project to ever get this far. With less than a year, I really broke all records in speed, but that's because the content of the game remained the same, I only had to rewrite the code, as none of the assets were changed, except for a few small required adaptions to the Kthura Map bundles, but those are not visible to the naked eye. The only true visible changes are the result of a drastic update to the interface, which should make it easier to use the interface (not really the difficulty of the game itself) for a better game experience.
Now the same update will happen to The Fairy Tale REVAMPED, as a matter of fact, the preparations for that update have already begun as we speak. The current situation there is also one of the most complex in all my game creations, however it's slowly getting into a state that I can combine it with making my own final tests to Star Story. The last update was some vital fixes of a bug a friend of mine discovered, which would affect The Fairy Tale REVAMPED as well, as this was a bug in the engine, and I'm using the same engine in order to redo The Fairy Tale, so I had to fix that anyway. Now I hope I can start my final tests soon in order to start up the beta. This beta will over time also appear on Game Jolt and possibly a few other sites.
There is no official ETA for when the beta will come, but it should not take that long. Once the beta is out, a no-music version for people with limited download-range or small storage devices will also be there.
See you soon!
