So recently been working on this little guy, currently working with a friend to hopefully make a small playable demo of sorts to show this knight off. Have been designing this guy as if he were playable character, due to this he has a lot more animations than the skeleton i recently published. I also want to add a few different colour variants of the knight, but will be doing that once i've got all the animations finished and cleaned up.
I chose this design in the end because i wanted to challenge myself a bit after the skeleton to help improve my animating abilities. with the shield included it added an interesting new dynamic for me to work with, also including a run and jump animation was new for me. But i feel i have come out of it with a clearer understanding on what makes an animated sprite work. due to this i will be going back over my skeleton sprite with what i have learned and redo him, most likely with a design more akin to this knight ^^.
In conclusion the playable 'mini' game will hopefully be available for free within a week but i can't currently guarantee that as that's more dependent on my friends schedule. Oh and thanks for reading ^^.
