New Features and Enhancements
- Mainframe has an all new Console (CLI - Command Line Interface) that even in MOVE mode will emit commands giving the game that more authentic 1980's feel.
- Fully compatible command set between single key and command mode on the mainframe console - play either way or toggle between them for as much or as little authenticity as you want at any point of your run.
- You can choose
DEBUG
mode where the game will even emit assembly as you hack your way through! - Added scoring including daily and all-time scoreboards
- Run stats are now included on the permadeath screens
- Added RANK command to console that displays the leaderboard on the main deck terminal
- Added a minor experience touch to emit the system being connected to in the console buffer on the deck terminal (for player reference after disconnect)
Fixes
- Modems on the Mainframe now prompt the user before connecting to avoid inadvertent use of a Credential unintentionally
- Keys are now removed from the Mainframe memory if they are picked up, even if they are already part of the players inventory. This improvement avoids confusion.
- KEYS command printout on Mainframe now correctly emits all of the keys
- Command console content is restored after hanging up from dialing out to another system versus returning to a blank console.
- File extensions can now be used when entering a filename on the Ascii Express -> aehelp or aehelp.txt are now both permitted
- Text files were not correctly deployed during build. This has been rectified.
- Mainframe SYM command: Fixed incorrect symbols. They are now pulled correction from the program definitions.
- Mainframe SYM command: Only symbols on the current level are shown in the list for the SYM command.
- Fixed crash issue with running into walls and picking up items in MacOS
