Final Update
Hello! I've pushed a bunch of mostly visual updates to the game and decided that this will be the last update for this particular project. As I was creating new content, I decided that it would be nice to maintain this in its current incomplete state to keep a record of its form during the GMTK game jam. Development will continue, just in a separate project.
Here's a list of the (mostly) visual changes:
- Added scrolling star field
- Added parallax clouds on the edges
- Added zoom effect on death to highlight where you were hit
- Added flashing on enemies to indicate damage
- Added lightning attraction effect on nearby "friends" when they're being drawn closer
- Added disabled state for "friends" until they're attached to indicate whether they're vulnerable
- Adjusted a few hitboxes to make it slightly harder to get hit for more fun
- Modified "friend" turret sprites to look more like a turret
- Improved graphic performance
- Added ability to pause the game and made the game auto-pause when backgrounded
- Fixed "friend" modules not exploding on death
- Updated screenshots
