Firstly, let me apologize for the deafening silence - a huge problem at work basically wiped out any free time through May and most of June.
But I have been busy with "The Roommate" as well. In fact, the title should probably be "The Roomate, The Assistant, The Barista, The Office Slut, The Receptionists, The Waitress, and The Widow."
You'll be meeting lots of new people in the new version, which I'm just putting finishing touches to. I'm hoping to release the new version on Wednesday (just so I can say I finished it by the end of the month).
So what else is new?
There's a new "personality profile" system. You'll be asked a couple of questions at the start of the game that form a very basic personality type. This can affect what choices are available to you in certain situations. I'll post an actual example a little later.
While the timeline is only expanded by a week, there's a huge increase in the game. There are several new key characters and a big expansion to the storyline.
The number of images has gone from just over 200 to well over 500 in this version.
The player's character story is expanded considerably too.
As I said at the beginning of this post, the last six or seven weeks have been a bit of a horror story, those were exceptional circumstances that I hope won't be repeated. I plan to try for a new version at least once a month, with bug fixes or other tweaks as necessary.
