Well it's been a busy ~2 months of addressing feedback and doing significant rework on bearcycle. The general vibe from the feedback was that I had good core mechanics, but needed to simplify gameplay a LOT to focus on what is fun. This release I have:
- removed attacks, lives, strength, auto-decrement of health, and other "fiddly" things. I aim to focus exclusively on the movement system.
- added in a new "combo" system is in place for rewarding timing, chaining tricks, and keeping up momentum.
- fixed various bugs, tweaked small things
The result is a big step from the previous release, hopefully in the right direction. Can't wait to hear what you think!
