Hello Reader!
It's been a week since the last update on the blog, and if you're interested in it's developments, you may be wondering what I have sharing this time? :D I have been working on adding in more Scripting Terminologies, that should (in theory) help you to understand (minimally) what a few of the functions and variables being used in C# programming are for/about in use to Unity.
A cool thing I've done for each word listed as a term, throughout the entire document, anywhere those words are mentioned it will show up in the same green color you see them in now signifying that it's listed as a word you can look up in the Scripting terminologies and understand it a bit more if you desire. Each of them are Indexed in alphabetical order.
I'm also working on an Asset Pack in collaboration with 2 members of the Jamaica Game Developers Society, and 5 other person's to add to the Resources Index which is a collection of over 30+ FREE Premium Quality Game Asset Packs that I've put into a collection found right here on Itch.io, and beside each thumbnail art is a review I did on each of them and how they can be used together with other packs in the collection, the pack will be continually added to for you to utilize as a beginner anywhere around the world in your productions.
So I have an update to share regarding the AI Guard script that I shared about in the last post. There's been some changes that I made different from the original design that I was going to implement.:
While I was able to make the NPC retake his guard post after a few seconds (that you the dev can dictate) I decided to add to the quirkiness of the AI's behavior which can add to the player's ability to understand enemy patterns!
So this AI Guard is one that is sooo focused on the player when he get's within his range that he will never give the Player his back, failing to pay attention to his surroundings, which ultimately leads to his demise! Muhhu haa ha haaa! Eh hem, here's a demo if it.
With this I could also make another tier level to this same Guard AI that would charge at the player when cornered. This AI script will become available in the update coming out next week! (You will have to watch a YouTube video on attack damaging to incorporate into the script as your please).
I'm glad you asked! Here's the goal:
All of the scripts and resources that I'm going to be giving away in this version for free will allow for beginners to be able to make a fully functional game with some minor tweaks here and there! There's also going to be a bonus ADVANCED gift that I may pack in depending on how functional I can get it for you all. I'm sure you will LOVE it!
So until the next update is released, keep safe, have fun and don't stop being creatives!
P.S
I wanna hear from you😥, if you've been impacted in anyway by this book, I'd like to hear from you how to make that experience even better too.
