A small maintenance patch for the NEEDSIM Life simulation has been send for approval. NEEDSIM is a Unity store asset and the example scenes can be played on itch.io.
Whilst the changes are small I also suggested to Unity to reduce the price further, to USD 50,- excl. VAT. Originally Needsim was sold for USD 75,- but enabling more people to afford the asset feels good.
The changes in the 1.2.1 patch:
• Updated explanations in all example scenes, hopefully making them useful without requiring a look into the manual. Also improved some sections in the manual.
• Fixed bug so that interactions can be interrupted more reliably.
• The script ’PlanDemo’ now uses an interface IDecisionMaking, making it easy to swap the decision making code without changing the code in the script ’NeedsimNode.cs’
• Renamed the confusingly named method ’private NEEDSIMNode.SetActiveAffordanceTreeNode(bool value)’ to ’private AreSlotsAvailable(bool value)’
