This week was another slow one. Conditional branches are my least favorite topic to deal with in game dev when they are paired with dialogue. And since the final boss of this dungeon has a lot of conditions to check, there's a lot of branching paths and crap to deal with and it's all very monotonous. I've been grinding through the monotony however and I do have a base framework going on for the restructuring of the dialogue.
I sensed early on I wouldn't have a great milestone of progress this week however so I took the time to relax and make some sprites just because I could.
This one is a Majorian noble child, for the time being all need be known is that.
And this is a Harpy design, harpies have a particular role in the story way later on, so I wanted to do some fun things and try and design them.
There's multiple versions of these, thanks to layers that toggle the two kinds of coloration for feathers and hair, and skin tone.
The branching paths of the final boss is a massive chore but I'll power through them yet. Unfortunately that really is all I have for you right now, take care everyone!
