Update 8: Game Complete... Testing Begins

The Memory Maze
A browser game made in HTML5

First of all, I added my images from my game to Itch.IO.

When writing this blog, this is the final Friday I have until my game needs to be complete. However, the game is now complete after 12 weeks of development! The final few minor additions to the game are now in the game. These minor additions included a win scene to tell the player that they have won the game from them being able to type in all words/phrases that were on there memory list.

This week also saw the beginning of testing. I did feel a little let down as when I asked people to do my questionnaire, there was one person that noted a large amount of bugs within the game. This made me feel a bit overwhelmed, however as usual I always overthink things and think certain issues like this are worse than they realistically are. So I spent around 2 hours fixing these bugs, such as in one of the rooms a UI element would appear on screen at the wrong time. I did feel happy once these issues had been resolved.

As usual I posted my changes to SourceTree.
