SpookyGhost is now a free and open source tool!
Starting now there is no more a demo version and the source code is released on GitHub under the MIT license: https://github.com/SpookyGhost2D/SpookyGhost
You can use it for your commercial projects and never have to pay anything.
The new distribution license is not the only news though.
I have fixed a lot of bugs in the process and added some new features such as:
- Lua scripting API for custom animations
- Options to specify a delay or an initial time value
- Sequential animation groups with new functionalities
- Clone button for sprites and animations
- Separate RGB and alpha channel blending for sprites
- Drag’n’drop support for sprites and animations reordering
- Contextual menus for textures, sprites, scripts and animations
- Lock checkbox to choose if an animation should influence a sprite when paused
Being on GitHub also means having access to issues and discussions, two new channels of communication that you can use to provide your feedback and comments.
There is also a Discord server that you can join if you want to chat with other users.
