The Small Saturday Update & Experimental Linux Support!
Hello, it's Sylvie. I did some play testing of yesterday's update and fixed some things.
Also, there is now a LINUX version of the game. I could not test it very well because I don't have a Linux computer! I can run it through Windows Subsystem for Linux, but it is a little slow. Also, the window-centering functionality doesn't seem to work, but I don't know if that's just because of WSL.
I am looking for Linux testers. If you want to test the Linux version, you can either buy the game, or contact me through Twitter (@sylviefluff) or Discord (sylvie#7837) direct messages and I might send you a free copy! (If I get lots of requests I might stop sending them out but I doubt I will get very many.)
Change Log
(May contain small spoilers for things that are in the game.)
Bug Fixes
- Tried to fix a bug where you could throw large items through walls. If you did this at the edge of an area, the item would go out of bounds and be lost forever! I am not sure if it is completely fixed but it's at least harder for bad things to happen.
- Fixed a bug where the game did not autosave when dying or returning to the entrance in a zone.
- Fixed an issue where the "Unset" button config controls were not saved correctly. If you load an old save, you might see out-of-place stuff on the Control Options screen (like "Start" appearing under one of the Keyboard headings) unless you reset the controls. After resetting the controls, it should save properly.
- Climbing a snake rope while in a Mushroom Zone would display some annoying dialogue. This is fixed.
Balance Changes
- Uncommon shrooms are a little more common in their native Mushroom Zones, particularly TinyShrooms.
- SpringShrooms are less common in their native Mushroom Zone.
- Made different kinds of Junk Parts spawn in certain Mushroom Zones. I think before it was spawning red screws only.
- Adjusted the contents of a certain secret room.
Trade Changes
NOTE: Like with the previous update, if you've already talked to the NPC who was changed, then their bag contents will be saved in your save file. So the change might not take effect unless you start a new save.
- Reduced the size of red paperclips, and reduced the number of red paperclips that the red paperclip hater has.
- Removed some Junk Parts from the Junk Shop because the Boombox was getting placed on the shop owner's head (sometimes?).
- Increased the price of Memory Disk 0 to three rare shrooms instead of one.
- Increased the price of the Bunney Pin to two SparkleShrooms.
- An item called the Star had the wrong name in the trade screen.
Other Stuff
- Various small dialogue adjustments were made. I wanted more characters to mention the fact that time is stopped, so that you understand how important and devastating this is to the world.
That is all for now. I have some more things planned but I don't feel like doing them today! Sylvie
