After countless hours of doing something else, the background update has arrived! Complete with an existentially terrifying exit message and the ability to make the game unplayable by making the background color the same as the snake color, the background update provides a comprehensive overhaul to absolutely nothing while adding at least one entire extra second of lag (this is an approximation, individual performance may vary) all for the low low cost of my deteriorating sanity.
