So with the B&W Game Jam finally over and "Boo! - A Ghost Story" taking 24th place overall (Woohoo~!!!), I'd like to leave some thoughts on the Jam post-mortem and my plans for the next and final version of Boo.
The B&W Game Jam was a very fun and fulfilling game jam that I didn't expect to enjoy this much. I had never made (in my own judgment) a proper and full game, especially by myself. I had always worked with a team but the product we made never felt "complete", it always felt like a prototype. This was the first experience in game development that I really pushed myself to my limits in what I could accomplish in 2 weeks or less, and rest assured, this won't be the last. I hope to continue my time in game development and join more game jams and make more games in the future! I also want to give some quick thanks again to my girlfriend, family, and friends for support, playtesting, and quality assessment, ShadyDave for making the perfect music, Lone Rabbit for holding the B&W Game Jam, and all the players who tried out and had a good time with my game~! :3
As for Boo, I do have some important announcements. The current version is not the full experience that I want to bring with my story games, therefore I am announcing that "Boo! - A Ghost Story" will be continuing development, albeit at a slower pace. While I can't promise any date for the final version, I can show you what to expect in the final version:
Anyway, that's about it! I'm sorry if I won't be making any devlogs because I'm just not that type to properly write down everything I do after doing it >~<, but when it comes to big announcements like this, I will discipline myself to see that they're posted~!
Thank you for taking your time to read this and hope you have a nice day~
"Bye Bye Mister!" said Boo.
