New character sheet, many fixes!
Hey there! I've got a big update for you today, and as a result I have decided to keep the attention-drawing japes to a minimum. The joy of reading real fixes should be more than enough for you.
- Uploaded a fancier character sheet, which should look a lot nicer! The original is being kept as a "simple" printer-friendly version (including a form-fillable version by Colin Chapman)
- During development I decided I should start using the term "unhoused" instead of "homeless", as the latter has derogatory uses. I never got around to fixing the times I'd already used it, though. It's fixed now. A couple instances of "homeless" have been kept where they'd make someone look like a jerk
- Incredibly-minor-NPC-who-somehow-got-a-portrait-in-the-OST-booklet Aleph Asamiya's name has been changed to Aleph Acosta, as Aleph + a Japanese surname can make people think of a cult
- During developmental editing I managed to insert the phrase "defence roll" instead of "defence" a few times out of habit. They're gone now
- The Hacking actions have new names to avoid overlap with Social actions: Charm is Access, Interrogate is Search
- Placate has been tweaked to make its limits clearer
- The Stealth section now has a sidebar about using it in social situations
- For consistency reasons, references to the Piloting Specialty have been replaced with the Drone Specialty
- Made Drone defenses clearer: their Defenses are all 7, but they use their operator's Defenses if they're actively piloted
- Changed how Memory Worm works, but not by much
- Made it clearer that It's Complicated gives you a Specialty in one action of your choice on top of the usual two you get from an Origin
- Various typo, formatting, page number reference fixes
- Removed the "Miami Mike" Origin for further playtesting
- My Mori Calliope CD came in. This isn't a patch note, I just want you to know what a great week I'm having
- Added ten pages explaining all the Australia references, because nobody noticed that I slipped in a joke about a mid-2000s-era meme in the Australian gaming magazine Hyper and it made me sad
- Station workers can no longer be persuaded to walk out of an airlock by explaining your Dungeons & Dragons character to them, but they're definitely still thinking about it
- For people who don't like K-pop, we made a second version of the game where Soyeong is bringing glam metal back
- Fixed a bug where players shopping in Lunokhod could buy infinite oregano, instantly filling the station
- Someone noticed that one of the NPCs is literally just an Arknights character, so I hid the evidence of my crimes
- Removed the "Dad Joke" action because it was too powerful
- Added Vancian casting
- Miscellaneous wolfboys
