We did a first brainstorm session which resulted into a game that would unfold its events in a single room, and the player would need to solve the same puzzle in different ways, so new elements would be revealed, but both of us agreed the level design of this game would consume an enormous amount of time, therefore we discarded this idea.
The second brainstorm round was more optimistic, because we tried to follow an approach to use other medias (movies, series, books, etc.) and try to find a pattern on what we brought. We decided to apply a comical appeal, without jeopardizing the distress sensation due to the time for the loop reset.
The game production was really intense, because we noticed that the game would become predictable after the first loop, so we decided to insert procedural rooms, this way we could incite replayability and always surprise the player on each play session.
The sound composition was oi intercalated with the game's visual, and due to the high quantity of visual resources, a minimalist art style was proven to be necessary in order to not conflict with other parts.
