Frog Jam: Easy Maze
A browser game made in HTML5

"I'll make a game. How hard can it be?"

Holy FROG. I knew making games is not easy. I knew about scope creep, I need you need to start with the basics and build from there. I knew it's best practice to have a simple but working project for Game Jams.

But actually making a game for the first time has been PAINFUL.

Starting was easy. Sit down with my notebook and write down ideas. Easy but I spent an entire day. Then I had to simplify the best ideas to the max, and then choose the one I honestly thought I would be able to create. I choose to make a "frogger"-like game. Well, that did not work. After a lot of pain, a lot of tears and a lot of cursing and yelling, I started over. I know how to make a character move. I know how to build a level. SO A MAZE.

And here we are. And I'm actually proud of the project and proud of myself. I didn't give up! And it works! Kinda! Next time I'll do even better. And hopefully cry and curse less.
