Hey everyone! I know it's been a while since I last posted but I have some neat stuff to share with this latest build! Let's get to the changelog:
-Melee system has been completely overhauled! Tap the melee button to punch bad guys, knocking them back, dealing moderate damage and granting you a chunk of energy. When your reserve energy bar is full, hold the melee button to slash with your sword; this attack will use up all your reserve energy and won't grant the usual chunk back (although bad guys will still drop a few fuel orbs), but it will both insta-kill your target and cleave it in half! I encourage you to mess around with these new mechanics as much as you can, and let me know how I can best improve it!
-First person aim offset animations have been altered to be driven by your camera's rotation rather than raw controller/mouse input, this should result in a much smoother appearance to looking around.
-The resolution of the railgun's scope has been reduced to offer better performance. I'll take a more serious look into different ways to achieve this effect that are lighter on performance in the near future.
-For performance reasons, enemy ragdolls no longer freeze in place and persist; after a short period of time, they will fade away and the actor is permanently deleted.
-Behind the scenes tweaks and fixes to enemy AI and materials to improve performance.
