Ancient Egypt had a barter economy, in which 2 kite (18 g or 2/3 oz) of silver could be traded for 1 khar (77 liter, 2 bushel or 120 pound) of wheat. A khar of wheat could bake 180 small loaves of bread or brew 60 hin (gallon jars) of beer.
Just felt like it would be helpful to bake that into the rules.
