This week was the last week of production so all functionality is added. Next week will be the polish phase. There we will improve some functionality that need improvement or could use some improvement at least.
The enemies now have a healthbar. This only shows after hitting the enemy, And dissapears after 5 seconds. This gives more playerfeedback. Enemies also get stronger every 25 seconds.
When you fall in water you now die. After dying you get respawned at the beginning of the level (this also aplies to dying to creatures) . If you finish the level you can pick a premade name reroll those names. And when you found a nice name you can restart.
There is now also a leaderboard using these random names and the score achieved that run. You can only do this after reaching the end.
The player is now rendered before all other assets. This Also fixes the clipping on muschrooms. And some other collision issues.
Sound have been added to te game wich gives the game a much more lively feel. There is ofcourse also a mute button and sound volume control.
Vfx have also been added to: player, enemies and envirement. In addition to giving the player more feedback as to what is happening it also makes everything look better, and gives more feeling to the scene.
The lighting and post proccesing have also been tweaked for a nicer final product. The density of the props has also been increased. This makes the scene look much warmer. The changes to the foreground also help with the visibility of the character and enemies. And makes the path you need to walk more clear.
