In Moons Among Us I’ve complicated how dice work in a particular way, this is born of two things. I complicate everything, I mean look at this whole thing, of course. But also, I lost my d6 for several weeks and had to play with other dice, and I wanted to make this game dice agnostic.
Now, I have, but also it isn’t. The pattern of which numbers are divisible by 3, 4, 5, or not, is complicated and big in a way that resonates with me. I’m not great at numbers but I think the cycle is 60 long, because 60 is the least common multiple of 3, 4, and 5. So to roll a Find-Lost-Found, you have to roll a multiple of 60. Combinations of any two can be had as low as 12, but that is only Find-Lost. You need 15 to roll Find-Found, 20 to roll Lost-Found, and the probability of these combination rolls changes depending on the die you roll because all common dice do not align with the pattern.
This means a few things
If you choose to roll 1d20, all 7 are available. If you roll a 1d6, no combinations are available. You could roll 1d100, flip 3 coins, d66, 2d6, I refuse to stop you.
