We won! + Update (v1.1)

Rising Star's Gambit

Hey! Guess what? Our project won the 30 Day RPG Maker RTP Game Jam! I'm really happy I got to participate and got this chance to share a game of mine for the first time. I'm thankful to anyone who played the Jam Version, seriously. If you liked it, I hope you bear with me as I now know for sure I want to keep working on this project and adding more content soon.

Now moving on. On these past few days, I've been preparing a small update to address some issues some people and I myself found with the original release. So, here's out first update!


Version 1.1

This version includes a few general bug fixes and changes I made as a response to feedback I got from the original release. Here are the main things:

  • Fixed an embarrassing softlock on the Client Quest "Rarest Treasures". Really sorry for the inconvenience!
  • Made it clearer which objects you can interact with. There is now a white arrow above interactable objects during battle.
  • Made a small change to the second phase of the prologue so it's clearer how to reach the objective.
  • Adjusted some aspects around the final phase of the "Prove Thyself" Story Quest.
  • Fixed the log text for Karrie's "Change Stance" Talent so that it shows either Mana or Rage correctly.
  • Fixed a flaw on Service logic. Now starting a Service, even if you don't complete it once, starts the deadline countdown.
  • The Options menu is now accessible before starting a new game.
  • Adjusted wording on the personality quiz and the splash screen.
  • Removed the browser version warning. It should be fine now.

Make sure to keep your game up to date. If you're playing the Windows version, be sure to keep your old save file inside the "www/save" folder. Thank you for reading and see you next time!
