Hello everyone, we know that this announcement is going to be very unexpected for many of you, but CHR production is on the tightrope.
We never started this game for profit, but at this point in the project, and after the departure of our translator, we find ourselves in a dilemma
Currently, CHR still has quite a few episodes ahead of it, which will not be able to come out without an adequate and quality translation.
Our options are: open request to expand the team, or self-financing. At the moment we’re going to >open a form< for those who are interested in applying for translation (from Spanish to English). It’s an unpaid position and requires a lot of hard work. It isn’t an obligation until the end of the CHR, but any episode that we can move forward in this way will be another episode that doesn’t need to be funded. If we don’t really assume the payment at this point, it’s because no one on the team is winning anything and the project was always free.
If the requests don’t meet the requirements, we’ll be forced to go to the second option. We’ll try to adjust the budget as much as possible (counting money from direct donations, Patreon and Itch). We’re the first to want to see CHR finished, but isn’t possible for the current team to assume the translations, or the monetary cost of them.
At the moment and if we don’t get a replacement, the game will continue in production for two more chapters (money that has been saved from previous events) and then we’ll turn to finishing WT and parallel projects that help us find the financing we need. Ultimately we consider opening a kickstarter or a gofound just to pay for translations.
We are open to suggestions and alternatives. But right now, we don't see any more exits.
