During development, I removed the ability to "go back" during play (a standard feature of Twine games) because I didn't feel it supported the narrative I wanted to construct. One player kindly pointed out this makes it difficult to start the story again, and I was uncertain how to resolve the issue, given my general lack of knowledge on the matter.
I am happy to report that hurdle has been cleared! There is now a "reset story" button (present once the game is begun in full) that can be used to revert the game-state, should a player wish to start over.
