Making a GMless game is a lot more work than making one which has a GM, a fact that was made more apparent to me recently when I published Home from Home, my game about kids being swept away to an enchanted castle in another world and having to explore it to find their way back home. It was a timely reminder that games without GMs need very strong narrative guidance, very confident players or both.
So, anyway, HfH now has an overhauled narrative structure that provides more guidance on whose turn it is to speak and what they should say, as well as simplified and streamlined resolution mechanics that are hopefully a little more intuitive and easy to understand. I'm very grateful to my playtesters for the feedback they offered, which I hope has made this a better game.
