Devlog Week 6 - Production sprint week 3, Last week.

What's up everyone!

User Interface:

Welcome to the sixt's devlog! The in-game user interface has been made and it is looking very groovy! It's inspired by 70's era jukeboxes.  We also got a gradient in the sky to fill up the atmosphere even more.

We also made the power-up selection window. Here you can select and buy your desired power-up that you want to use for the rest of the run after a boss battle.

Functionality:

We got two functioning power-ups: A 'Speed boost' and a '0.75% decrease in Heat loss'. These power-ups can be bought with your score after a boss battle. If you are playing well, you can get a lot of power-ups! :D A lot of development also went into optimizing the functionality we already built for the game. Fixing bugs and making scripts work better together.

The look of the game so far:

The main character and enemies are not spheres anymores! We can show you their beautiful design inside the game. The arrows are a quick replacement of the colored spheres from last week. For the dance pattern you have to now press the arrow keys in order to defeat the enemy. Hopefully next week we have that replaced with something neat!

This week we are going to start with our second production sprint. This one is going to last 4 weeks till the 26th of april. We will keep you updated with our latest developments every week!
