I rarely do this, but I’d like to share a great moment for myself with you.
I managed to reconstruct the lost code of Uneven Being!
For those who don’t know, I had to reboot my PC in December 2020 and lost the original Uneven Being files in the process. The last backup in my possession at that time was a beta version of the 1.0, saved 3 days before the release of the game on October 31, 2020.
So I had lost the last changes made before the release and all the corrections made for1.1 and 1.2.
Thanks to Undertale Mod Tool, I was able to export the code of this beta 1.0 and the code of the 1.2 published here, then compare the two thanks to Notepad ++. Thanks to these two programs, I was able to reproduce the lost improvements by hand.
I first started to create a document grouping the objects, sprites and codes that were added by the 1.2, as well as those deleted since. Then I "enjoyed" comparing what had changed between the two versions, both in terms of sprites and code.
So what am I doing now ? I have done a lot of backups and I'm working on the 1.3 update. I am so joyful to work on that game again and add some new stuffs for next players ;)
See you soon and wait for the release :)
