We take tasks we thought of before and try to make them in a certain time frame. More tasks are added every week when we find problems or get an idea. Quite some tasks got finished this weeks on both the art and dev side. The main idea's are starting to get finished and we started talking about animation but this would still be something for next sprint.
Art work continued like last week with more and more textures getting made. Like always we first make sketches and make a lot of variations . We choose our favorite, which is mostly a team effort. The art department is also starting to get into unity and its art features. Plans are being made to use the rigging system of unity to make the animation process smoother.
The main character part 2 is also starting to take form as the dad texture is getting finished. He is also the main reason the unity rigging system would fit great here because his animations would be quite complicated.
The dev department is mainly still busy with recreating the assets from the prototype. The focus of this week was mainly interactions. For example the lever/movable platform. We also decided to use a health system instead of just restarting the level instantly when you hit an "enemy". We are still focusing on creating clean code . In the prototype we used inheritance to an extent but now we decided to use the interactable base for every interactable we will create. This will create a uniform system and allow us to easily add/change.

More textures will have to be created as the game needs many. If we want to make the game feel alive , a lot will have to be animated. Studying the rigging system or finding an efficient animation system is very important. Recreating the prototype assets is finished meaning new ones will be created next week. Some idea's include : AI , Ferris wheel, score system...
