Welcome back everybody,
three days ago, we held our first sorta public test of Cube Racer 2. We played for maybe two hours, making three rounds with about 6 to 10 players. And holy cow, that was more than enough to fill the map with so many obstacles, some of our first-time-players were really caught of guard. We had emotions ranging from some calm first rounds to furious frustrations. Which was amazing. You can watch a short compilations here
We also encountered a lot of bugs and problems, but luckily none of them was game breaking. We've had one occasion causing some players to instantly reach the goal after the game started, which was caused by an error in the player-joining code. And we managed to push our server to its limits, causing some chat messages to be dropped. Although we found out it wasn't only the servers fault, we had an embarassing bug in our network code, but honestly, which bug is not embarassing?
We've also received a lot of positive feedback on the new camera-turning mode, which allows to turn the camera with your mouse, instead of the keyboard keys.
With all these issues adressed, some critical, some not so critical, we've pushed this patch on Thursday already, and today follows the devlog.
All the changes in detail:

We've already worked on a lot of new features, some still taking some days to finish. Keep yourself hyped for an update next week. See you then!
