now that we are greenlit and started our production phase, each of us is working hard on different aspects of our game.
Mohan:
"This week was mostly administrative stuff so I didn't do much actual progress. Like the rest of my team I updated my part of the backlog on Hack'n Plan. The rest of my time was spent cleanly recreating our prototype in c++. I don't have any extensive experience in ue4 specific programming so there were quite a few newbie pit holes I fell in such as the small differences between a blueprint and its corresponding c++ function. The coming weeks however will be more exciting, in the coming week I plan on implementing a basic AI and extending the Player so that we can create Ingredients that run around the kitchen and can be caught. I also hope I can squeeze in a few easy obstacles like the fan and start researching 3d pathfinding for our flying menaces".
Jan was working on RFX for the water puddle shader and the splash effect when Ed falls in them and also created the poof effect which is still work in progress that will take place when Ed jumps and catches an ingredient.
