Post-Jam Update

Hi!

Now that the game jam is over, here's a small update!

First of all, I fixed some bugs:

  • Level complete sound effect playing double sometimes
  • Last 5 levels not showing in Level Select Menu
  • Yellow and orange hexes losing their color on undo
  • Turn Counter missing letters on toggle fullscreen (WebGL)

I also made some minor tweaks to the UI and I switched to Unitys new input system, making some changes to the controls:

  • Touch controls: the game is now playable by touch using pinch to zoom, touch to select and drag to rotate the camera.
  • R resets the level instantly, Z (no longer CTRL + Z) for undo

Then I made some small changes to the levels, giving some indication of height where necessary, changing the order of the levels and adding some new tutorial levels in between. The last five levels now have some different colors and I added some plants (grass in the first levels and cacti in the last 5).

I remade the dialog system, making the text animate in and changing the text box size.

The Game now has a build for android (.apk), utilizing the touch controls with some mobile only UI (menu button).

I plan on adding some more mechanics and levels in future. It may take a little but I'll try to give regular updates to the development.
