Feb'21 report

Degraman: Act I. Vincent
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Briefly

We're still going to do the release in summer -ish

More detailed

Continuing the theme of last month's report — we've finished with the idea of calculating the percentage of the game completeness. It is quite difficult to count, it turns out not quite accurate, and we are all more interested in the release date. So we will write it. As accurately as we now understand and foresee it.

What was done

  1. We worked hard on the code
  2. We have finalized 5 CGs and added MC customization for them
  3. We worked with the visual effects
  4. Began to translate the Loner route. Almost finished with the translation of the Cassel's route

As for item 3 — the first 4 chapters are very eventful, they have the biggest branching of the plot and they also determine what kind of route will be next. We have compiled a long list of effects for the first 4 chapters. This is a long list of everything that we would like in our wildest dreams. In reality, we implemented around 80 percent and only for the first chapter. On the one hand - it's very difficult, and on the other — incredibly interesting.

What we plan in March

  1. Finish about 5 CGs, start drawing a couple more
  2. Finally start internal testing
  3. Continue the translation of the Loner route and finish the translation of Cassel's route
  4. We will start working on the trailer (and probably finish in April)
  5. During February we watched as the number Steam wishlist grows by itself. In March, we plan to start influencing this.

Wish us luck!

P.S. a minute of whining: we were blocked by Google again, but now just an ad, and not the app ٩ (╬ ʘ益ʘ ╬)۶
