Hey everyone, it's Calandiel.
So... 0.2 is out. Finally. It's been a while but we now have everything that was originally intended for this update, and more. Plants are here - with trees and biomes. We now also have dynamic snow and a couple other features, like utilities for creating timelapses.
Listing all of the changes between versions 0.1 and 0.2 would really take a while. So, I'd point you towards our roadmap if you're interested in that. We'll have a High Council Patreon meeting over on Twitch and YouTube next week to discuss the update and ecology in general. As usual, if you find any issues or bugs, let us know on our subreddit, Discord, or the itch.io forums.
I mentioned it in the little notes in-game but this will be the last big update to the world generator for the time being. What I mean by that is that we now have all the information necessary to work on societies, economics, population dynamics, and all that other good stuff. I'm honestly looking forward to focusing purely on those parts of the simulation since they are the reason why I got involved with the project to begin with. Though, I'll have more to report on the subject in the coming days and weeks ^^
