I remembered that Processing3 lets you release standalone versions of your programs by directly bundling the required java packages with them, significantly increasing size but also increasing compatability. It appears to only support this for the computer's operating system, so this has been done for Linux, and a Windows version will follow either when I get around to it or if someone asks. In any case Java 8 is now not universally required to run Garfielf Blackjack.
