About two weeks ago we announced our roadmap to completion of Subway Chaos. This devlog is a follow-up and a progress report of where we are in the process and how the game is coming along.
As we approach the beginning of March, I would like to take a look at our progress so far and analyze what was accomplished during that time.
Here were the goals:
During Mid-February, I actually took a break off of Subway Chaos and made a project on the side as a demo for mobile. However, I got hooked and lost focus for Subway Chaos. Therefore, I didn't take much time to debug. Coming back a few weeks later, I finished up some levels I was designing before I took the two-week break off of the game. I have finished levels 6 & 7, however, I haven't done 5 yet. The picture attached is a sneak-peek of level 6!!!
I am also behind schedule in removing more MTA stuff. I'm not too sure if the colors and letters would get me in trouble, so I'll play it safe and rebrand lines entirely.
The rest of the levels (5, 8, 9, 10) will be completed by Mid-March, I don't know why I forgot to add them to the roadmap.
Yep, there will be no IOS release!
It's a shame because I took the time to make the game touch-friendly, but it seems that my game was poorly optimized, and I made the game with mobile compatibility on the back burner. Therefore, I think I will completely cancel the mobile launch and release, and in the future, I'll be more mindful of compatibility and optimization. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I guess if you have a touchscreen, you can probably still play with touch.
Also, today marks the 90th day the game has been in development... Crazy, right? The game will be 1/4 of a year in development tomorrow...
Anyways, that's all I have for you guys this week. Not a lot of progress was made since I took a break. I'll see you guys in the next devlog.
Signing off,
Mootbing
