I wanted the music in Foxcatsquirrel to be cute and simple, like the game itself. Although I have some experience writing music, I'd never worked with trackers before, which gave me different ideas and ways into them. As a result, the soundtrack is definitely the result of working within Pico-8's constraints, which is exactly in the spirit of Pico-8!
In the recent Finally Finish Something Jam 2021, I was happy to see the music so well-rated, coming in at #79 out of 386 entries.
Mostly for my own enjoyment, but also for anyone who feels like their life would be brightened by short clips of cutesy chip music during their day, I'm releasing the soundtrack!
